Moose's Wish List
I apologize for the length of this - it's really intended to give an idea of my taste and the sorts of things I like, rather than me trying to be greedy.
If you wish to know sizes, whether or not I already have something, my favorite styles or authors, etc..., please contact Bill.
Also, Bill and I have added a family wishlist for those things that either we both want (and would therefore
make good presents for either of us) or for those who would rather buy something a little bigger for the family as a whole. Be sure to check it out!
- I have a membership to Massage
Envy that gets me a one-hour massage each month (it's my one hour of Me-Time!), but bonus pre-paid massages are ALWAYS appreciated,
especially since I discovered that what I really like is hour and a half massages. Mmmmm....
- I'm Disney crazy. I love all things Disney, especially Disney World. Disney gift cards or Disney Dollars or pre-paid tickets or room
reservations would be dreamy!
- Maybe it's just me, but a family pendant of the kids from
Thumbies (see page 7 of the brochure)
sounds awesome. Expensive, though.
- Time away from the kids and every day life is what I really want more than anything. I want to do... nothing. Doesn't doing nothing
just sound heavenly?
- A three wheeled incumbent bike. I would like to join in with the family to go bike riding, but I'm so uncomfortable on a regular bike that I can't
bring myself to go on it.
- A membership to the Shakespeare Tavern;
I would prefer on the main floor for a year, but I'll take what I can get! Even a
flex pass would be nice, which is good for 4 shows.
- I like my books for the Kindle these days, rather than print!
- There is one exception to the above rule - I really would love back issues of Celebrations, a Disney magazine with glorious photos and nice articles. I have issue 20 and the 2011 Christmas edition is
on its way to me, but anything earlier than that would be fantastic!
- Kindle gift cards. Or books on Kindle. Or a subscription service for Kindle, if they ever offer it. I'm crazy about my new Kindle and want
more to read on it!
- Any or all of the Christopher Moore books
- My weight has been all over the place for the last several years, so I can't even tell you what size I am any more as it has changed
too much recently. My favorite stores for clothes shopping include Sears, JCPenny, and LL Bean. Just about anything would be
lovely, though I am hoping to have slightly more stylish and tailored things in the future as I'm tired of always looking so sloppy and
oversized. Gift certificates are always appreciated.
- Not exactly clothes, per se, but I'd really love some more earrings with titanium posts. I prefer dangly ones, but studs would be fine too. My
ears are super super sensitive to earrings, and titanium is the only thing I can reliably wear without hurting them.
- Duffy Bear clothes - Any
official Disney outfits for the 17" Duffy Bear. I have the Sorceror Mickey outfit, the aviator outfit, the "My First
Visit" outfit, the Canadian outfit, the UK outfit, and the Chinese outift currently.
- Duffy Bear storage - I have my little heart set on
this doll trunk with bed
and this matching doll steamer trunk to hold my Duffy and all his various outfits. Oh, and
some doll hangers for the clothes. I already have like 6 outifts, and have plans to get more, so several sets of hangers would be
userful. This is a total extravagence, of course, so I just can't justify buying it for myself
- A baby doll carrier
so that next time I'm at Disney World I can carry my Duffy around on adventures
- Some additional matching pieces for my tea set, so I have enough tea cups for everyone plus some plates for snacks and a few serving dishes. The
pattern is Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles Pink. Specifically, I really want 4 more tea cups and 4 more saucers, plus 8
dessert plates, a pair of candy dishes, and a chip & dip bowl. Some of the votive sets would be nice too. Be warned that there is apparently a subset of this
pattern for the Christmas edition with a Christmas tree on it that is often marked with the exact same product line. I don't want that. I want
the ones with little pink castles, as the name of the pattern would suggest.
- A spa pillow to lean my head on while relaxing in the tub, like this or this
- A massaging back rest with a light for reading in bed
- Some original artwork; I love subtle things, particularly ones with texture or substance, and I love stained glass and carved wood. My favorite
style of art is impressionistic, though not necessarily classical impressionism, and I generally hate modern. Obviously nothing that would be
inappropriate for children will do :-)
- Speaking of artwork, any prints (preferably signed) or even original pieces (yeah, right!) by Thomas "Tom" Canty. The only one I have is "White
Raven", which Bill gave me for our 11th anniversary. Here's one place that carries them, though there may be others: Artists UK
- Wood hangers for my closet - I'd really like some natural wood (no dark stains on the wood, please, or they won't match the rest of the closet)
shirt hangers - the kinds without the clips on them to hang pants, just arms to hang shirts. Preferably with no-skid stuff on them, but that's
certainly negotiable. Target has had some beautiful ones that I love, but I can't find them online now.
- A full-size digital piano with full-size keys and a full, 88-key keyboard and with weighted keys (I miss having my piano!); no special voices or
features needed, though a damper pedal and a stand would be nice as would a headphone jack so I can practice without disturbing anyone. Yes, I
realize that these are horribly expensive and, no, I don't expect to ever get one but I can dream, can't I? My preferred manufacturer is Yamaha.
I don't have a current favorite model as I haven't looked at them in a bit, but I expect to pay $1100-$1600 for it. I'm saving money
for my "digital piano" fund, so if you'd like to contribute directly to the fund, feel free!
